BYOND - 2 "Put it to work"

In the video below, Afreed Islam,a 10th standard student from Guhawati launched his prototype of a computer system that uses a microchip instead of a hard disk and is embedded with an operative system that allows dependencies on both Windows and Linux-based software simultaneously.

Afreed says, “The idea to develop the system came to my mind first when I was studying in Class VII and encountered some problems while operating the computers which my parents had bought for me”.

Being in the final year of engineering , one important in which we all are focused on is "PROJECT", which is compulsory as part of the curriculum.

So, today's focus is : " Doing the project on your OWN ".

It is important because the feeling which you get is totally different, one is difficult to express especially, when you do it yourself (i.e as a team).
Because you have invested 4 years of investment in this field, so it is important to reap the hard-work done.
When you do it yourself, then you'll be confident to speak at interviews making it easier to get that offer letter.
Also, you'll not be guilty conscious.

Few are doing it in government organizations, companies or on in college itself.
But, some of you might have already bought one. So what do you do?
Don't worry, you can still do a lot to ensure that you are actually learning, innovating and putting that engineering knowledge in use. By implementing the same module using a better approach, by trying to improvise the existing ones, or by at-least ensuring that your fundamentals are the strongest, you can be different.
All this can be done, when you practically work for it.

I believe that you guys can do this successfully.

Here is the video of insights of the 'Byond-2' in the classroom.

SAS TAKEAWAY :

By doing it on your OWN, you LEARN. And that's when you make MISTAKES.
When you make mistakes, you find different approaches.
That's when you are DIFFERENT.
And that's when you INNOVATE.

You still have time.
Make the most of it.

BYOND - 1 "Just one word : TRY"

At one stage life gets monotonous and complex. One needs to do something new to bring about a refreshing change.
Here, in this video, Matt Cutts, an engineer at Google, during a TED talk suggests us to try doing something new which you haven't done before or had wish to do, for 30 days.

You never know the possibilities or the outcomes of trying.
As our engineering comes to an end, let's all TRY something new !!
You might create the next Whatsapp or become the next Bill Gates or if not atleast create a small positive difference to your own life .
The possibilities are endless.

SAS TAKEAWAY

Just one word , "TRY". Yes, one needs to do this. Don't worry too much about the results/outcomes but rather focus on how to do it.Remember, the "PROCESS" in which you did it is important.
